Plante annuelle, poilue ; tige de 10-40 cm, dressée, grêle, simple ou rameuse, feuillée ;
Écologie : (répartition d'après la flore) Lieux sablonneux et incultes, dans presque toute la France, surtout dans le Midi.
Répartition hors de France : presque toute l'Europe ; Asie occidentale jusqu'à l'Inde ; Canada.

A slender, branched, somewhat hairy annual 10-30 cm high,
Ecology UK: (distribution according to flora) occurs rather infrequently on limestone rocks and walls here and there throughout the British Isles.

Fleurs : blanches, très petites ; pétales arrondis au sommet ; grappe fructifère très allongée, lâche, à pédicelles étalés, 1-2 fois plus longs que les silicules ; silicules oblongues-elliptiques, glabres ; style presque nul ;

Flowers: 3 mm diam., in elongated racemes; sepals lanceolate with hairy tips; petals white, lanceolate, entire, rather longer than sepals.
Flowering UK: Late April-late May.
